A team of NASA scientists and engineers selected Council Rock School District to participate in NASA’s Microgravity Experience Program. Seven schools were selected from applicants across the country to design and test an experiment aboard NASA’s reduced gravity aircraft known as the "Vomit Comet." This unique opportunity will challenge students to design and build an experiment that has real world applications and puts learning into action. The project will motivate the next generation of explorers to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics as only NASA can do. Students will follow the scientific process throughout the project. Every step will be documented on a website that will be accessible to schools and communities worldwide. Lesson plans will be included for schools and teachers to access and use to supplement their curricula.
