NPV Series Pinch Valves

The Clippard NPV Series Pinch Valve is a solenoid-operated device that is designed to open and close tubes for controlling flow of liquids and gases. Other valve types have internal passages that may cause small amounts of fluid to remain in the valve. Pinch valves have no areas or dead volume where fluid can become trapped. Only the inside of the tubing contacts the fluid. Energizing the solenoid retracts or attracts the plunger, which opens or closes the tube. De-energizing the solenoid will allow the plunger to return to its original state.

Features of the NPV Series:

Compact and Robust Design

Low Maintenance

Fast Response Time

Tubing Ranges from 0.031" up to 0.25" ID

Long LifeTubing is easy to replace

Zero Dead Volume
» Fluid samples are not contaminated by the previous sample through the tube.
» There is no dead volume, as the tubing holds all the media.

Low Power Consumption
» Low wattage coils ranging from 1.0 watt to 7.0 watts
» To reduce power consumption, a hit and hold circuit can be utilized to energize the valve with full range
of power and then reduce the power by up to 2/3 of the rated voltage. This not only saves power consumption,
           but also minimizes heat generation.

Unobstructed Flow Path
» Many other types of solenoid valves have complex valve internals that obstruct flow.
» Unobstructed flow is important when handling vital fluids. Pinch valves create minimal pressure drop.
