1022 Non-Contact Proximity Sensor

Clippard 1022 Non-Contact Proximity sensor

Clippard's 1022 Non-Contact Air Proximity Sensor has no moving parts and will sense any flat or curved object which presents a sensing surface of 1/4" or more to the sensing nozzle.

Clippard Tech Tip

1022 Non-Contact Proximity Sensor In this Tech Tip, Scott Lamb of Clippard Instrument Laboratory explains how Clippard's 1022 Non-Contacting Proximity Sensor functions.

Supply pressure from shop air comes in to a miniature MAR-1-2 0-20 psig regulator and a 2010 low pressure control valve. The 0-20 psig regulator sends a low pressure signal to the 1022 proximity sensor. The 1022 proximity sensor emits a cone-shaped air blast that, when obstructed, diverts the low pressure air back through the outlet and into the low pressure pilot side of the 2010.
